I've read this series so many times and James and Gabby have to be in my top favorite couples list of all of Kathi's characters.Gab works as a mechanic by day, but by night she is hunter taking out rogue vampires for Stephen. Having seen first hand what some of these vampires do to people, she's out to rid the world of as many of them as she can. She's a taken no prisoners kind of gal and sees no reason to rely on a man for anything.
Jimmy has recently helped Samuel start and set up his "pride" (I use this term loosely because his pride is a mixture of animals). He's experienced what it was like to have his heartbroken and would just as soon chew his arm off then trust another woman, even his mate.
With a vampire out to take revenge on the Silver Queen, Stephen, and a lower mage determined to unlock Valda LaRue's true power, both Gab and Jimmy have more on their plate than trying to figure out their mating.
There were a few things I didn't like about this book. The fact that before the book even ended we never found out if Gab was ever able to call her wolf, and if she never does why? I also would've liked to learn a bit more about Jimmy's past and why he no longer had anything to do with his pack, and what woman "broke" his heart.

New characters, old characters. Action, drama and humor. Fun to read and sad for it to end. Can't wait for more in this world (and every other one).
Another great addition to the Samuel's pride series. I just want to say that I want Fairies please! I can't wait to find out what happens next, off to read Kalebs book.
Gab was a very strong woman who didn't bow down to anybody, not even Samuel. She was so much more than she appeared to be.James proved worthy of her. He put her first and respected her judgement, even if he didn't always agree with it.Good plot. Loved the ending.Only one question, did she ever find her wolf?
Good book in this series about a pack or pride of different kinds of shifters all coming together under the leadership of Samuel, a lion shifter. Lot of action, romance and humor, I recommend this series to PNR readers.
I love your series and I know it takes a while to write a good book. I just really like all the family in each series. I keep checking on Force of Nature and Golden series as well. They are not too complex, just a fun read and I really love the intimacy. The couples equally have enough to offer and make it worth while to care whats going to happen to them. The characters work together to solve their problems. Fast enough read. Looking forward to more.
This one pick up right where Samuels left off. Each one totally satisfying in and of itself but being part of a larger story that I hope will continue. A couple of places in both books that I found totally confusing as seemed to be alluding to events I had no idea of... Maybe from one of her other books? And even one place where the wrong name used but finding I tend to edit these books in my head as I read. Besides that a totally fun read.
James, book 2, Samuel's Pride series. Loved it!, a smokin hot, fun story. James, "Jimmy", doesn't want a mate. He loves Samuel's Kennedy and is happy for his best friend but he doen't need one, until he gets one. Gab, is everything Jimmy didn't know he wanted. She is a human and the local mechanic. She alos had a side job working for Stephen, hunting rogue vampires. She is a foul mouthed, fearless and doen't know what to do with an over protective wolf mate.
This go round the Pride is up aginst, a vampiress, who wants to rule the world, and a mage, with delusions of grandure. Gab with the help of Jimmy as her new partner, a powerful witch, Stephen, some of his vampires, and the Pride teke them on. Stephen even gets a promotion. Love this series!
